I love this movie! Dug discribes me and my girls exactly. We have very random moments (squirrels) all the time. We would always say squirrel or point. A couple weeks ago, Natalie saw the movie for the first time. Which made our "squirrel" even funnier. If you haven't seen this movie yet, it is a must see! It's out on DVD now, so go pick it up or just redbox it.The little old man is so cute! Oh, and if your into scouts there are some jokes about scouting.

Blessings, Blessings, and more Blessings!

Today has been a wonderful day and it's only 2pm! It has actually been a really great week. I know I am loved by the Savior and that he has helped me out SO much! This week I got a call from 4 different people wanting me to take their pictures. I have 1 wedding, 3 family pictures, and an office for a website! And today I was going to talk to Dairy Queen about getting a job. My friend, Courtney, is in town for the week and has worked for this guy before. She actually ran a couple of his stores and they are actually hiring. While I was on my way down there, I got to drive my brother's car (thanks Seth) I got a phone call from Bobby at the elections warehouse. He asked me if I wanted to work I said yes! Then he asked if I wanted to know what the job was first. It is helping train the troubleshooters for the election starting tomorrow and go for 2 weeks. The troubleshooter are in charge of polling places & the equipment. I would be going around helping Tanya train for the next 2 weeks and hopefully work election night! I was so excited I accepted immediately. Now back to driving to Dairy Queen, I met Courtney there, filled out an application and got the job. And got paid more than employees get started at. My boss, Derek, was okay with me starting at the beginning of November when I was done with the elections. I can't believe I got 2 jobs in one day! After not working for the last couple of weeks! I'm really excited for elections I have missed all the guys that I was working with before. Dairy Queen is another story, I'm nervous. I always get nervous with a new job. But its an easy job and I'll be fine. Oh yeah and I have set up another blog for my porfolio. I'm still working on it but you guys will have to check it out! I'm working on getting a website set up but this will do for now. It's let me know what you think. So if you would like to add it to yours that would be great! Hope you all have a wonderful day and week! He is there and will help you if your trust in Him.

Laffy Taffy, Blizzards, & Spa Rice!

My family and I left last Friday to go to Utah for General Conference. They have never been which is crazy to me! I went 3 years ago and it was amazing!! Conference was so good we went to the Saturday morning session. My brothers & dad went to the Priesthood session while Jenny & my mom walked around temple square.
I really enjoyed the time that I spent with the family. We had a couple insidences that were hilarious I just have to share with you all.

*On the way up Zach was eating some Laffy Taffys. Seth asked him if he had any other than banana. Zach said no, so he gave him the other half of his. Then Zach proceeded to take a sour apple Laffy Taffy out of his pocket and started eating it.

*Jenny brought a bag on the trip that my mom had made for some girls for girl's camp. Then they bailed so she gave us the extras. They had nametags on them. Jenny left her's on. It said Shawna.

*After stopping @ Sam's Club for lunch. Zach came out of the store with a 44 oz red/blue powerade. Dad curb checked it and Zach fingers went into the styrophone cup. All over his pants & white shirt, he got it out, everything was fine.

* We saw a "filmore van" called Natty Light. Then were remembered by Andrew (4 yrs old nephew) who screamed, "I want to go to Holbrook," while we were driving home from New Mexico.

* We passed by Fernando's Hideaway, which should have remained a hideaway... not good at all. We ate there about 4 yrs ago and I'm sure a lot of us got sick. It was now changed to a steak house! Yikes!!

* "Hay lets go get some feed!"

* Friday we went to a frozen yogurt shop called Spoon Me. Zach met some of his friends that are going to BYU there. These we the napkins, I HAD to take a picture! And that fact that this place was right by BYU makes it even funnier!

* We were looking for places to eat Saturday night, we ended up going to Fazoli's! But in the phonebook I think we found our new Fernando's Hideaway called.... Guadalahonkies!!

* The Best Western that we stayed in was nice. For the breakfast they had a waffle maker. So you can have your own waffle in the morning. Sunday morning before we left Zach, Jenny, Seth & I were making waffles and noticed the different types of syrup. Boysen Berr & Mape!! They were still good.

* Spa Rice is delicious!! We are always talking about it when we are planning on going to Utah. My dad's friend from high school, Jerry, took us last time to a chinese place. He knows the owners very well, he goes all the time. They remembered us from last time, we sat down and they just brought out a whole bunch of food for us. Spa rice aka fried rice was a must of the things brought out. Then just like the last time they gave us a big bag of fortune cookies.

* Since Flagstaff on the way up, Seth said he wanted to get a thin mint Girl Scout cookie blizzard from Dairy Queen. We had just eaten so we didn't get it there. In Utah we didn't really look for one, when we came across it we weren't hungry. Then finally on the way home we stopped in Flagstaff again to get the blizzard. Mom even had a buy one get one free coupon. Oh we were excited! As we are ordering the man in the drive thru told us that they don't have that blizzard anymore. We couldn't believe our ears, did he really just say that didn't do it anymore? It had been about a month that they stopped it. We were laughing, he didn't get why, so we asked for our coupon back and ordered cones. :( Maybe if we had gone in Utah they might have had it. But we were talking about the thin mint blizzard the whole trip!! And never got it.

As you can see we had a great time. I'm a little sad that Diana & Clayton & their families missed out. But we will catch up this Christmas!

Wow! It's been a long time since I've written. Well today I got up early, 6:30am to take pictures of a couple that the missionaries are teaching. They are getting baptized and married on the same day. So they asked me if I could meet them at the temple and take some pictures for their announcement. I was so excited!! I've missed taking pictures and to go to the temple and do something for these people was amazing. Here are some pictures I took today. The couple had a daughter, almost 2, she was grumpy but got some good shots of her as well.

My New...

Okay I have never had anyone give me something like this before. And it's not even Christmas or close to my birthday! While at work we talk about a lot of different things. One day I was talking about how I was teaching a friend to play the piano & he in return was going to teach me how to play the guitar. I was so excited I've been wanting to learn for awhile now. A co-worker Nic, showed me a website I could look at to find cords for songs that I wanted to learn. I got even more excited. Then a couple days later when I got to work Nic told me he had something for me. I was like 'really that's cool' not thinking to much about it. As the day went on he said he brought his guitar in so others said he should bring it in during break & play something for us. At break I saw it... the guitar was gorgeous!! Nic played 'With Or Without' by U2, one of our favorite bands! Then he played a song that he had made up, which was good too. At the end of work I got an appointment for the next day. I'm notorious for getting appointments right before we go on break or leave for the day. Because it was for the next day I had to stay and fill out some paperwork first. Nic said he still had that thing to give me, I had completely forgot about it. He said he would wait for me to finish. As we were walking to our cars Nic had a lot of things in his hands so I asked to carry something, he gave me his guitar to hold. As he was putting the things in his car he was telling me about his guitar & how good it was, how he had broke it but fixed it. How he has had it for a long time but has another guitar and that the strings were new. The whole time Nic was telling me this I was holding it & amazed. Then Nic told me he was giving it to me... I was shocked!! I asked if he was serious... he smiled and said yes! I'm pretty sure my mouth was wide open. I didn't know what to say, I said thanks & couldn't stop smiling. I even asked if I could give him a hug & asked if it wouldn't be weird because he was married. He said it was okay, he said I could use this to learn on until I got something better. I'm still shocked that someone would think of me and give me a GUITAR! As we left I had to tell someone... so I called Nick Smith the guy that's supposed to teach me to play and I just couldn't stop smiling. He said he was excited for me & wanting to see a picture. As a thank you to Nic I made him a card that looked just like the guitar.

Going Private

I've been reading a lot of my friends' blogs & they are all going private now which got me thinking. Why didn't I do this in the beginning when I first started my blog. Well, for different reasons like me posting a lot of pictures of the work I do, I'm going to go private in the next couple weeks. If you want to be able to see my blog just give me your email address & i'll invite you so we all can still keep in touch. Hope you are having a good day!

So at work today... Remember I work for America's Solar doing cold calling to notify people of the Federal & State funded energy program for homeowners. Right now I am calling the Tucson area. This has been my second day & it's been good I made an appt yesterday. Today as I'm calling people I got this one guy that was kind of pestering me and talking to me about why it is good for him. I had told him how it's good for the environment & all the tax incentives and how it will help to permanetly lower your monthly utility bills. At one point in the conversation I told him to hold for a second because I couldn't think of anything else to say to him. I asked a couple co-workers and they suggested a couple things. When I got back on I repeated the things I told him, and I even told him he was making me nervous. He then said he liked my honesty and would check out the website & if he was more interested then he would give me a buzz. I was a little flustered after that. One co-worker said that I should pray that he calls be back. But within the next 10 phone calls I got 2 good appointments! I was so excited I think that guy helped me to further appriciate what we are doing with this company and how much it could help people. I know that you need to truely believe in the product that you are selling & be sincere that people will know that you are trying to help them. Anyways I have to get back to work. Oh if anyone wants to know more about my company the website is

Wicked Pixie!

My friend, Courtney, owns her own salon in Oregon and she comes down every month or so to do hair for her clients here in Arizona. I always get to pick her up from the airport which is fun! Yeah the airport fun... I know my way around there very well! Anyways I would go down to her little salon down here & help her in any way I can. One day I ended up bringing my camera & talking some pictures of girls she had done and they are now on her salon website. I'm so excited it makes me feel like a professional! Here is the website if you click on hair & policies you will see the pictures I took. One of the girls I was talking pictures of reminded me of my cousin, Kelsey Smith. What do you guys think?

Lost but not Forgotten

As most of you have heard I had a cousin die in a car accident a couple a weeks ago. She was going camping with her family & some friends. Savannah was 13 and a sweetheart. I took the news pretty hard, that Sunday was the worst I cried all day & even cried when I said the closing prayer for Relief Society, (the lesson wasn't even a touchy/emotional subject.) I think the reason it hit me so hard was because I was in a car accident a year ago & I could have been much worse than I was. (Yeah I know, I wasn't wearing my seatbelt.) But Savannah was sitting in the exact spot I was sitting in the car. All memories of that started flooding back to me. And I realized how precious life is.
A friend from my ward told me something that helped a lot. She had read a book about a man that had passed & gone to the other side and then he was able to come back to earth. The book is about his experiences in Heaven. And he said that the loved ones that are taken from us quickly are there to help us make it to Him. That was a comfort to me to know that Savannah will help me as well as her family & friends. That helped me a lot. I'm grateful for that knowledge so that when the funeral came 2 weeks late I was better prepared. I still cried like a baby during the funeral but at the gravesite I was able to keep composed & got to take some amazing & precious moments. Here is a couple of those moment, (p.s. Heather, I am sending the pictures in the mail now.)
The weather was gorgeous... I know Savannah helped out with that.
Zach & Bryan comforting my sister, Jenny.

Cousins along with Lance & Kyle (Savannah's brothers) remembering the good times.
Katie, Savannah's older sister.
Leah, Savannah's oldest sister.
Flowers that were on her casket.

Good Times

So I was going through my old pictures and came across some old videos. These are great. This one is of my nephew Ben when he was younger & Andrew is the one laughing & jumping on the right side. Oh the joys of boys!
video This next one was on a camping trip with the family & my mom bought some different kind of Doritos because the Doritos guy said they were really good.
videoAnd this last one is Mike, my brother in law with Ben laughing! It just makes you laugh too!

videoENJOY! :D

I just got this good paying job yes, as a telemarketer. But I work with all Mormons, the people that own the company are Mormon & the guys I work with are all return missionaries and good guys. I've been there for a week now & I love it! It's not a hard job at all I call people & talk on the phone. Last week I interviewed for a photography studio and they offered me the job. I'm not sure I want to take it. The pay is a lot less than what I'm getting now & I would be working 10-15 hours a week until they start getting busy for Christmas in October. They want someone to be flexible. I don't know what to do. I can't work just that job but I asked them to work with me, because I won't have a set schedule like I have at this job now. I want to take pictures but lately I've not been wanting to work in a studio again. I did that for 5 almost 6 years & I just don't know what to do. I have been taking pictures on the side going to people's houses & taking pictures of their kids in their environment. But I just don't know what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Warren Boys

My life now consists of looking for a job, eating, sleeping, & taking pictures along the way. Technically not in that order but pretty close. I just had the opportunity to go to one of my friend's client's house to take pictures of her little boys. This is the second time that I've gone to the person's house to photographic their kids. I think that it is easier because they seem to be more comfortable in a familiar environment. I just take whatever props I need & my camera. I used natural lighting for my pictures. This session of Ann's boys almost didn't happen this day but we went ahead & tried. She was amazed at what came out. The boys are adorable Cole was your typical 4 yr old where he loves the camera, well he loves the attention. Ethan warmed up to me, he being 21 months was very mellow. And Luke at 6 weeks he was very good. This first picture he was sleeping and decided to stretch... What can I say ADORABLE!! I can't wait to go back & take their family pictures in the fall!
I'm also really excited to take my sister's family pictures. My nephews are so amazing! We need some good pictures to show how cute & smart they are. You'll get to see them soon! (hopefully) :D

Beauty Around Us!

The other day I was out taking pictures of my brother & his family. We were down by old Gilbert and the buildings walking, looking for places and opportunities to take pictures. As I was walking I looked up and saw the sky it was a beautiful day & I just had to take a picture. Clayton had stopped and looked at me not know I stopped, I then said I was sorry I had to take a picture. He told me not to worry about it, the reason we were out there was to take pictures (of his family). The family pictures turned out better than I thought they would and the one that I took of the sky!
I guess even when you are going through your day remember to enjoy the beauty around us.
